What are the characteristics of a high quality VTM Kit ?
1. The preservation solution can be selected to have the function of inactivating pathogenic microorganisms (Inactivated VTM, transparent color) or not inactivating the preservation solution(Non-inactivated VTM, pink color);
2. The preservation solution can selectively inhibit nucleic acid degrading enzymes (better protect nucleic acids);
3. The Transport Swab should be Flocked Nasal/Oral Swab.
There are different kinds of tips of the Transport Swab.Flocked tip are better than rayon tip,Flocking tip can take more sampls at the same situation and release more sufficient into the medium. Swab tipshould not be cotton tip, because the cotton fiber has strong adsorption on protein and is not easy to elute into the subsequent preservation solution. Nasal Swab with Flocking Tip is most widely used now.
4. Transport Swab should be sterilized and packaged individually;
5. All swabs are provided with standard breaking points to facilitate swab collection;
Swabs with ABS plastic stick should provide breaking points at 3cm(oral swab)or 8/8.5cm(nasal swab);
Swabs with PS plastic stick can be broken at any points.
6. The size of sampling tube is optional to better meet the needs of users;
There are 2ml/5ml/6ml/7ml/10ml/50ml size tube for customers' choice, at current situation the most widely used tube is 10ml size tube, normally used for testing 10 people at one time to save time and highly efficient.
7. Easy to preserve sampling tube / swab storage conditions: 0-30 ° C, valid for 1-2 years (different varieties).
8. In addition, male and female swabs, feces and sputum sampling cups are available to fully meet the needs of users.
